Vermont Business Magazine Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont has promoted Margaret Pinello-White to the newly created role of chief administrative officer.
Growing up on a working dairy farm in Randolph Center, Pinello-White learned the value of hard work and resourcefulness at an early age. She used these skills during her 14 years with Blue Cross, working in various roles. Starting as a Human Resources Specialist, she has also served as Workplace Health and Wellness Coordinator, Benefits Manager, and most recently Director of Human Resources and Facilities.
“Margaret has been a key leader in our organization for more than a decade, and her commitment to the associates and Vermonters we serve is evident every day,” said Don George, president and CEO of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont.
In her new role as chief administrative officer, Pinello-White oversees claims, mail and document management, payment integrity, auditing, human resources, learning and organizational development, and facilities.
Pinello-White graduated from Vermont Technical College and received a master’s degree in business administration with a focus on organizational leadership from Norwich University. She has participated in several leadership programs, including the Vermont Leadership Institute, from which she graduated in 2022. She is currently working on a diploma in mediation at Champlain College’s Center for Mediation and Dialogue. Pinello-White is also a Senior Certified Professional in the Society for Human Resource Management.
Pinello-White has volunteered at Green Mountain United Way for 10 years, serving on its board, committees and in leadership positions. She is currently the president of the organization’s board of directors and a member of the financial committee.
Pinello-White lives in Chelsea with her husband and daughter. A native Vermonter, she shares her passion for animals and nature with her family – her dog Fred shares their yard with two Nigerian pygmy goats and a miniature donkey.
