Earlier this year, former French first lady Carla opened up about the efforts she makes to, in her words, ‘stay thin’.
She revealed that her regime included working out for two hours a day, practicing a strict regimen of elliptical, pilates and barre exercises.
In an interview with French magazine Madame Figaro, the singer and model talked about returning to the catwalk for Balmain and posing for one of YSL’s recent campaigns.
She said: ‘I’ve got the figure and the style, maybe, but I’m going to great lengths to stay slim: two hours of exercise a day, some barre, a little elliptical, a little pilates.’
However, she said that she does not have a special relationship with beauty, and that she prefers grace and charm.
She also admitted that she felt ‘too old’ to be a model and felt ‘weird’ about the fact that she was old enough to be a mother to younger models.
Reflecting on her early years, the model also said she felt tall and thin and felt invisible.
