The Golden Globes returned in full production Tuesday night in Beverly Hills, complete with a red carpet (okay, it was gray), endless champagne and a host of stars from TV and film.
Just one year ago, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association suspended its in-person annual gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, turning to an online event amid a whirlwind of controversy.
Fashion is also back – from classic black dresses and suits, to dresses in metallics and pastels and brilliants, to tuxedos in countless tones – all of which signaled the return of Hollywood awards season. Designers from Dolce & Gabbana to Gucci to Prada and Armani Priva were well represented on the red carpet.
The jewelry was minimalistic at best, with a hint of sparkle provided mostly by earrings and bracelets and haute couture itself.
