Hello yellow! We see that the sunny color is making a bright return to the wardrobe of celebrities. And the latest celebrity to go for the shiny shade? Lily Collins.
In a series of recent selfies on Instagram, Emily in Paris the actress modeled for her camera in a colorful sweater — which looked like it came from the rainbow-filled closet of her character Emily Cooper on the Netflix TV series. Although she seems to have left her shiny fabrics and loud accessories in France, as she pared down her make-up, jewelery and color palette and titled her post ‘Cottage core’.
Collins’ yellow sweater comes from the brand Dôen and costs almost $300. It’s not strictly a pullover sweater and it’s not strictly a knit sweater, but has elements of both. To show off the sweater’s other outstanding details, she moved her arms as she posed to reveal ribbed wrist edges and pretty puff sleeves.
It looks like Collins wore hers with some white bottoms, but a pair of flowy leggings will dress up the look without making it too casual. You can also go dramatic and throw on a leather raincoat if it’s a particularly snowy day.
