Robert Pattinson wears sparkly skirt at Paris Fashion Week: pics

Robert Pattinson took an unexpected fashion risk — and it paid off! The actor attended the Dior Homme Fall/Winter 2023 menswear show in a sparkly skirt.

The Twilight The 36-year-old actor had his sights set on him as he arrived at Paris Fashion Week on Friday, January 20 in a blue sequined kilt. The sparkling piece featured a tea-length construction and subtle pleats. Pattinson paired the look with knee-high socks and a pair of black leather boots. The Principle the star completed the outfit with a caramel-colored fur jacket that he wore with a zipper.

Models wore different iterations of Pattinson’s skirts on the runway, flaunting a silky blue version and a gray wool design. Other standout pieces included sparkly shorts, a satin raincoat and a two-tone puffer coat — all in soft, muted hues.

Creative director Kim Jones talked about the collection Vogue, sharing, “For me, I read it as rent and change: times change… So it starts with the death of Christian Dior, and then Yves Saint Laurent comes along and suddenly he’s doing new things. And there are many of me.” (Laurent worked alongside Dior before taking over after his death in 1957. He then became the world’s youngest creative director at the age of 21 before launching his own eponymous label in 1961. The fashion giant died in 2008.)

In addition to Pattinson, the soirée was also attended on Fridays David Beckham and his son Cruz Beckham as well Naomi Campbell, Gwendoline Christie, Eddie Redmayne, Amber Valletta and Karlie Kloss.

Pattinson isn’t the only Hollywood heartthrob to wear a skirt in recent months. Brad Pitt famously wore the outfit to the film’s premiere in July 2022 Express train. He stepped onto the red carpet in a frayed hemline. Pitt, 59, paired the style with a linen jacket, soft pink shirt and Stylmartin boots that drew attention to his leg tattoos.

A month later, Fight club star opened up about the fashion statement. “We’re all going to die, so let’s mess up,” Pitt said Diversity at Bullet Train’s Los Angeles debut in August 2022.

Among other famous dudes who sport skirts are Oscar Isaac, Jared Leto, Russell Westbrook, Vin Diesel and David Hasselhoff.
