Selena Gomez might be nominated for her first Golden Globe, but she’s already won big in style.
The superstar hit the 2023 Golden Globes red carpet wearing a spectacular Valentino design featuring a velvet column dress with a high slit and flattering puff sleeves with a long train. She styled the look with Santoni platforms, De Beers diamonds and classic ’90s bombshell makeup.
The Rare Beauty founder turned to longtime hairstylist Marissa Marino for her high ponytail, which pulled the entire look together.
Gomez, 30, is up for Best Actress in a Television Series, Comedy or Musical at the 2023 Golden Globes for her role as Mabel Mora in Just the murders in the building. Quinta Brunson was also nominated in the category (Abbott Elementary School), Kaley Cuoco (Flight Guard), Jenna Ortega (Wednesday) and Jean Smart (Hacks).

A day after becoming a Golden Globe nominee, Gomez shared a comeback video on TikTok where she talks about her career aspirations.
In a replay of the 2011 KTLA Morning Show clip, the star was asked if she would like to win a Grammy in the future. However, she insisted that she is focused on taking home the acting-based award.
“I think it would be an honor, of course, but I’m more of a Golden Globes or Oscars girl,” she explained in a throwback clip.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Gomez shared that creating a brand that feels approachable and accessible to everyone—regardless of skin type, age, color, or ability—was a daunting task that made her feel anxious at times.
“I thought it wasn’t going to sell,” she revealed to PEOPLE. She was happy to be proven wrong, saying that in the two years Rare Beauty has been in business, she’s seen people “enjoy being able to dress up [the products] up or down.”
“What I’m most proud of is the conversation we started in the beauty salon,” she added. “I feel like we were challenging the norm and I really wanted to create a brand that was for everyone.”
The 2023 Golden Globes will air live on NBC and Peacock on Tuesday, January 10 at 8:00 PM EST.
