Absolutely everything
Transparent looks decide! In the post-pandemic era, people may need to express themselves without shame – a thumbs up to clear things up. Risqué will become even more risque as the fashion world steps up to flaunt their see-through vests. Giving a nod to the trend is actress Sobhita Dhulipala in a red sheer outfit by Anamika Khanna.

Boudoir details
Remember how Bella Hadid walked the ramp for the SS23 Burberry show in a baby blue halter top? The garment was embellished with lace inserts and cinched in at the waist, featuring a crop top and matching lace gloves. Pretty lace, playful dresses with puff sleeves, silky underwear: innerwear as outerwear will be a prominent trend in 2023.

Motifs of the heart
They have been part of the iconography of clothing since the 14th century. Making a strong case for design this season was Moschino, with some sort of puffy detail in all its SS23 garments — whether it’s a heart-shaped collar or a “broken heart” lapel trim, one half on either side of a neatly tailored jacket .

Balletcore
The trend that will be the star of 2023 is balletcore, which consists of classic ballerina pieces with a high-fashion edge. Balletcore silhouettes are making their mark on the runways and streets, with dance pieces such as ballet flats, leotards and leg warmers. Labels such as Simone Rocha, Miu Miu and Molly Goddard have brought a ballet aesthetic to their collections over the past few seasons.

Durable leather
We saw leather coats and jackets on the catwalks last season, and brands like Versace, Tod’s and Prada continue to tap into the biker chic trend. In 2023, the style will remain big, with its structured silhouettes on the rise. Black, tan and oxblood will be common shades to portray this look. Following the trend is actor Janhvi Kapoor wearing a black leather dress with matching gloves by Saisha Shinde.

Soft shade tailoring
Dark tracksuits in their slimmer and oversized versions have been a celebrity favorite over the past few years. In 2023, their pastel counterparts will replace them for a subtle but powerful impact as they help to fuel a heavy mood amid the coming recession. Conscious of staying on top of his style game, actor Ranveer Singh wears a Gucci three-piece suit in different pastel shades.

Cobalt blue
After Valentino Pink, this year will be all about cobalt blue! The gritty tone gives reason to embrace the drama and give it your all. From Jason Wu and David Koma to Alberta Ferretti and Off-White, the shade was everywhere during the SS23 season. Nora Fatehi was seen in a cobalt blue satin dress with an asymmetric hem and pleated sleeves with cinched cuffs by Nicolas Jebran.
