Votto Vines Importing continues with the business growth plan in 2023

The family-owned and operated import company is securing new partnerships and expanding its team to continue growing the business and disrupting the spirits industry.

Founded in 2009 with headquarters in Connecticut, Votto Vines is a dynamic, family-owned business that focuses on the import, marketing and distribution of premium wines produced in leading vineyards around the world. In addition, Votto Vines has also developed innovative private labels and own brands.

From December 31, 2022, Votto Vines is pleased to announce its joint venture with PSP Imports LLC. Votto Vines will combine its sales force and portfolios through its boutique distribution and portfolio company, Global Wines, LLC, with the efforts of PSP Imports to form “PSP Global Wines.” This strategic partnership will be a Massachusetts-based import and distribution business that represents a diverse portfolio of wines and spirits from around the world, with a special focus on Italy, France, Spain and Portugal.

Further expanding the company’s growth, Votto Vines is delighted to add Frank Battaglia and Marvin John (MJ) to the Towler team for fostering new retail partnerships, nurturing existing ones and developing relationships with distributors and key customers across United States. Battaglia and Towler joined the Votto Vines team in January 2023 as vice president of sales for the Midwest and West regions and in November 2022 as head of sales and marketing (three countries).

  • Battaglia, a wine industry veteran, previously worked for industry titans Southern Wine & Spirits and Breakthru Beverage before becoming vice president of sales and operations for the boutique wine importer in the Midwest region. Along the way he has gained numerous wine industry certifications including WSET Level 3, Certified Specialist in Wine (CSW) and Level 1 Certified Sommelier.

  • Towler, a Wine Enthusiast Future 40 Tastemaker & Innovator, has a diverse background in the wine industry, working in all aspects of the business from retail, wholesale, auctions and wine consulting. He is also the executive creator, producer and host of the “Black Guy Wine Experience” podcast, where he is known for explaining wine concepts that anyone can understand in a light and humorous way.
